Forgiveness After a Kidnapping

It’s a concept that is more easily practiced when someone does something ignorant or says something trivial in the heat of the moment. But real forgiveness takes on a much different meaning when it involves life and death. More specifically—being robbed at gunpoint.

There is a gripping article written by Brad Pearson who lived through such a scenario in Philly in 2006 as he was kidnapped by three teenage boys who held him in the back of their car as they went looking for drugs and money.

I encourage you to read this piece and consider the strength God gave Brad to actually go back and face those same young men years later.
